Home Sweet Home

Friday afternoon papers were signed and keys were bestowed...
and I am now a homeowner.
I have to keep pinching myself to make sure all this is really happening.
I have asked God for direction and wisdom and have felt God's perfect peace throughout the whole process. I have prayed for sometime for this to come to pass and it has. Today Dad and I were readying the walls for painting, (which will start on Monday.) Prayerfully we will be able to move in sometime next week. A dear friend of mine who is now face to face with Jesus, taught me, by example to be hospitable. My prayer is that this place will be a tool that God uses to bring Him honor and glory!
Here are a few pictures:
Here are some "BEFORE" pictures... I will post "AFTER" pictures soon...smile.

Everyone is Welcome
Pardon my mess...

God's Provision!

I am here to announce that I am in the final stages of purchasing a condo. It has been a long time in coming but how grateful I am to the journey that has led me to this time in my life.

I want to first of all thank God for His provision. I want to also thank Dad and Mom for allowing me to "rent" the Dining Room for this year and a half. It is because you allowed me to come back home for a time that I was able to do this! Thank you for your advice, encouragment and support! I want to say a special THANK YOU to my sisters for "putting up with me" this past year and a half. I know it was not easy to have "big sister" back in the house. But I am grateful for the time that we were able to have living together once again.

I want to thank those who I asked to pray for God's will to be done. It is with a grateful heart for your prayers and support. This is a BIG step, but I believe it is the correct step! It is by faith we WALK! To walk, to move, to continue forward this does not mean we sit and don't move and twiddle our thumbs! I pray that this place will be used for God's honor and glory. For many years I have prayed for a place that I could open to others, to show hospitality, that moment is here. A dear friend of mine taught me many lessons in hospitality, prayerfully I will be able to use what she taught me!
More details are to come! I will keep you up-dated as things unfold. Right now we are waiting for settlement which is scheduled for July 30th!

A Working Vacation....

A working vacation, you say... it seems that all my vacations are working, never a dull moment.
My grandparents have recently moved to South Carolina and I am able to come down and visit them. Our Pastor was also asked to speak at the Bible School where we both attended and I asked if I could assist him with the PowerPoint Presentation that I did for the Youth Conference. I was delighted that he said yes. We have about 70 kids attending the sessions, which is encouraging. My prayer is that their hearts will be forever changed as they make the most important decision in their life.
As my grandparents are about an hour away I had to rent a vehicle to get back and forth... it is a nice ride.

I am hoping to go visit with some friends that I made while I lived here. I can't believe 10 years has passed since I graduated from E.I., time just flies. I was blessed to visit with Mrs. A. She looks good, especially for someone who turned 95 in April. She is still much in my thoughts and prayers. Her granddaughter (caregiver) is doing a great job. The 9 grandchildren also keep "Great-Grandma" busy too! I commend Amy as she has taken on such a challenge! Mrs. A & Pastor Mike
Well, tomorrow is another early morning, so I will end here. A tip: take a working vacation... it will be exciting and you will be helping others! You will want to go back home to get a break ;)

I was also privledged to see a dear friend and her new little 2 week old bundle of joy, and Reagan, a new big brother! It was so good to catch up and see what God is doing in each of our lives. I was able to hold "baby Alex" for 3 hrs as Aubri and I chatted away, it did my heart good!
